Jeanne E. Neff

Jeanne Neff of Flint formerly of Clarkston was born April 5, 1926 in Chicago, IL to the late William and Florence (nee: McGeeney) White; survived by 4 children, William (Penney) Neff, Lisa (John) Pambid, Barbara (Dominick) Flasck and Diane Neff; 1 sister, Rita (Robert) Neiman; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Neff in 2002. Jeanne was a 1948 graduate of Marygrove College. Visitation will be Monday March 31, 2014 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church (825 S. Ortonville Rd., Ortonville) followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Gerard Frawley, Celebrant. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. Arrangements were entrusted to COATS VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME-ORTONVILLE. Memorial contributions may be made to the Care and Share Fund at St. Anne. NEFF, JEANNE E. of Flint formerly of Clarkston; died March 28, 2014. She was 87. Bonnie Doreen Bone

Age: 69
Bonnie Bone of Ortonville was born June 15, 1944 in Dearborn, Michigan to Richard and Fay (nee: Eckert) Sien, Sr. She is survived by 2 sons, Thomas (Michelle) Bone and Scott (Sheila) Bone; mother, Fay Sien; 6 grandchildren, Chamaine, Alexis, Bridget, Allison, Erika and Tommy; one brother, Richard (Marge) Sien, Jr.; and her beloved dog, Maggie; preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter. Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Anne Catholic Church (825 S. Ortonville Rd., Ortonville). Fr. Gerard Frawley, Celebrant. Kathy Martin

Died: Thursday, March 27, 2014
Age: 65
Martin, Kathy; was passed from the loving arms of her husband Rick into the loving arms of our Lord on March 27, 2014. Born July 31, 1949, Kathy was a lifelong resident of Lake Orion.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Rick of 44 years; daughters, Jenny (Charlie) Walrath & Beth (Nick) Meyers; grandchildren, Dylan, Bailey, & Brooklynn Walrath and Troy & Taylor Meyers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Payne and Mildred Downey of Lake Orion.

Kathy retired in 2008 from Lake Orion schools after 32 years of teaching. Kathy loved spending time with family and friends and had a zest for life that inspired those lucky enough to know her.

Memorial Services were held Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11am at Lake Orion United Methodist Church. The family received friends on Sunday at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Kathy Martin Scholarship Fund (for students within the Lake Orion School system). Checks should be written out to Scripps Middle School (Please write Kathy Martin Scholarship Fund in the memo) and mailed to Kathy Martin Scholarship Fund C/O Rick Martin, 2687 Holland St. Lake Orion, MI 48360.

William Wrighton

Wrighton, William; of Orion Township; age 83; passed away on March 23, 2014; survived by his beloved wife Winona; cherished father of Keith (Kathleen), Kenneth (Jane) and Linda (Richard) Fogel; loving grandfather of Michelle, Justin, Christina, Alex, Tera and Evan; great-grandfather of Sydney.

Janice Gray

Died: Saturday, March 22, 2014
Age: 91
Janice Gray, born April 9, 1922, passed away on March 22, 2014, at age 91.

She grew up in Ferndale, Mich., and raised her family in Clarkston before moving with her husband to Lazy River mobile home park in Venice, Fla., in 1983. In 1997, she built a home in North Port, Fla., where she lived until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Hon. George and Eva Higgins, her husband Leyburn T. Miller (1923-1945), her husband George W. Gray (1923-1991), daughter Shelley E. Wade (2010), brother Thomas N. Higgins, sister Alicia Duncan (husband Gary) and sister Sue Eazer (husband Ted).

She is survived by son George L. Miller (Amy), daughter Lynn E. Quayle, son Ronald F. Gray (Nancy), daughter Tamala J. Gray, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and her dear informally adopted son from Japan, Fuji, and wife, Fusako.

There were a number of nieces and nephews who were all greatly loved in her large extended family. Janice was very active in her children’s lives and also fostered 28 babies and toddlers over the years. She was an avid game player and excelled at bridge and other card games. She also enjoyed golf and bowling.

A private family gathering was on April 4 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, where Janice will be laid to rest next to her dear husband George.

Angeline Rock

Age: 90
Angeline Rock, of Oxford, formerly of Eastpointe, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was 90.

Born on August 23, 1923 in Hamtramck, Angie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years Stephen, devoted son Stephen Jr., and all her brothers and sisters.

Angie was a loving mother of son Timothy (Janice), proud grandmother of Stephanie and Nicholas (Sarah), and adoring great-grandmother of Nolan.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion, MI on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11 a.m..

A luncheon will follow.
