of Holly. Born March 12, 1926 in Owosso, Michigan to the late Gus and Pearl (nee: Richards) Strobbe. She is survived by one son Gerald A. Morgan and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Morgan in 1968. A private service was held. Final resting place was Ortonville Cemetery. Carl Anderson, Jr.

Died: Friday, October 25, 2013
Age: 81
of St. Helen, formerly of Ortonville. Mr. Anderson was born August 30, 1932, in Pontiac, to Carl and Anna Marie (Huusom) Anderson. Carl proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Leona Fall in September of 1953. Mr. Anderson was a longtime Deputy for the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, retiring from there after many years of service.

Carl is survived by his wife: Leona Anderson of St. Helen; daughters: Laura (Scott) Anderson of St. Ignace, Martha (Steve) Burt of Goodrich, Amy (Gordon) Hesse of St. Helen and Susan (Joel) Francis of Lapeer; grandchildren: John, Jake, Carl, Katie, Charlie, Kyle, Lacey, Erik, Alicia and Sadie; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother: Jim (Dot) Anderson. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Anna Marie Anderson; grandson John Yuchasz; brothers: Bob Anderson, Victor Anderson and George Anderson.

Visitation for Carl will be 4-8 PM Monday, October 28, 2013 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Mr. Anderson's funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from the funeral home, Rev. Robert Lott will officiate. Cremation will follow visitation, burial of Mr. Anderson's cremains will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Harold Watson Allen

ALLEN, HAROLD WATSON of Ortonville; died October 24, 2013. He was 90. Born September 28, 1923 in Bloomfield Twp., Michigan to the late Walter and Crystal (nee: Deer) Allen.

Survived by three children, Ronald (Candee) Allen, Crystal (the late Donald) LaBarge and Janet (Fred) Humphrey; two brothers, Clarence (Bernice) Allen, Robert (Corrine) Allen and Joyce Lucas; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; preceded in death by five siblings, Norman, Donald, Alfred and Hoover Allen and Wilma McDowell. Harold retired from the Oakland County Road Commission-Davisburg Garage in 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. PALMER, John R. of Clarkston; October 23, 2013; age 68. Loving Husband of Georgia for 49 years. Beloved Father of John D. Palmer, Steve (Jessica Hewitt) Palmer and Kris (John) Jessing. Proud Grandpa of Lauren, Megan, Jessica, Kendall and Logan. John enjoyed teaching the skills of Anesthesia at Hurley Hospital, Flint and in the Dominican Republic. Hazel M. Trimble

Died: Sunday, October 20, 2013
Age: 98
Trimble, Hazel M.; 98, of Charlevoix died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix.

She was born March 15, 1915, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Daniel and Ethel M. (Shearer) Potter. She attended Charlevoix High School.

On January 11, 1941, in Charlevoix, she married Rodney H. Trimble. They made their home in Lake Orion where Mr. Trimble was a self employed carpenter. They returned to Charlevoix in 1990. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1998.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #348 in Lake Orion, Barnard Grange #689 and Charlevoix United Methodist. Hazel enjoyed camping and traveling.

Survived by daughters, Audrey Trimble of Charlevoix, Lorraine “Sue” and her husband Jim DeNeen of Alger, MI and Jayne and her husband Michael Chamarro of Lake Orion; son, Rodger Trimble of Georgia, daughter-in-law, Kay Trimble of Australia, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Trimble on January 11, 2010.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Winchester Funeral Homes in Charlevoix. Rev. Gregory Culver will officiate with interment following at Barnard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix. Memorials may be directed to the Barnard Grange #689 or the American Cancer Society.
