Born June 9, 1965 in Pontiac, Michigan to David H. and Linda (nee: Theakston) Roberts. He is survived by two sons, David A. (Katelyn) and Jake Roberts; his loving mother, Linda Roberts; one sister, Lori (Jeff) Roberts; niece, Lacey (Tom) Roberts; great nephew, Cameron Roberts; aunt, Ruth Phipps; uncles, Dennis Theakston and Edward Roberts; cousins, Ann, Karen, Bill, Jason, Nicole and Denny; also survived by many dear friends. David enjoyed playing golf, bowling and the Detroit Tigers. He was a 1983 graduate of Brandon High School. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at COATS VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME, ORTONVILLE. Born June 21, 1930 in Charlotte, N.C. to the late John W. and Isabel (nee:Francis) Kushing. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John J. Butler. She is survived by eight children, Jack Butler, Mary Butler, Cecilia Matheson, Michael Butler, Elizabeth Moss, Kathleen Adkins Daniel Butler and Eileen Butler; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 6 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Ortonville. Interment at Ortonville Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Coats Village Funeral Home, Ortonville. Lois McPhee WRIGHT

Age: 88
WRIGHT, Lois McPhee of Clarkston; formerly of Flint; December 4, 2013; age 88. Loving Mother of Martha (Tim Pobuda) Wright and Omelia. Beloved Mimi of Emily and Sarah Pobuda. Dear Sister of David (Judy) McPhee, Elaine Spencer and Edmund (Gail) McPhee. Preceded in death by brother Donald Cameron McPhee, USMC. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lois was born in Stratford, Ontario and came to Flint as a young girl. After attending Kalamazoo College, she earned a BS in Education from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Arts from Michigan State University. She was an Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Department of Human Development, College of Human Medicine at MSU, a Speech and Language Pathologist and Early Childhood Specialist in the Flint Community Schools and the first female head of the Department of Education at the Mott Children’s Health Center. She served on numerous community boards including the Greater Flint/Thumb Area 4C Association and Easter Seals. Lois was an enthusiastic patron of the Arts, a friend of the Stratford Shakespearean Festival, a member of the Smithsonian and the Flint Institute of Arts. She traveled the globe, visiting every continent, and loved theater, movies, books, dolls, miniatures, her garden, knitting, sewing and her granddaughters. Violet Thiele

Violet Lucille Thiele, of Oxford, died Dec. 4, 2013 quietly at home surrounded by family. She was 93.

She was a wonderful wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lester August Thiele. Violet is survived by her six children; Sharon Stone, Allen (Cathy) Thiele, David (Marge) Thiele,

Gail Thiele, Marsha (Tom) Tanis and Gary (Dee) Thiele. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-granchildren, sister Mary Teer, brother Dennis Lupien and sister-in-law Jean Lupien.

Barnard, Flossie L.; of Orion - Oxford; passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013. Our family lost a pillar of faith and prayer warrior. She is now speaking face to face with Jesus the same conversation she has been having for years on our behalf.
