Ryan Joseph Kinkle

Died: Wednesday, October 29, 2014
Age: 34
Ryan Joseph Kinkle; of Orion; passed away suddenly on September 29, 2014, at the age of 34. Ryan is survived by his beautiful daughter Emma Rose Kinkle and her mother Lindsay Sarnik; dear son of Dennis Kinkle and Robyn (Don) Wilson; brother of Jennifer (David) Palmer, Jason (Erin) Kinkle, Jared Kinkle, Donny Wilson, and Nancy Wilson; and grandson of Wanda Kinkle.

Ryan was a member of Clarkston High School Class of 1999 and the Oxford Free Methodist Church. His daughter was his whole life and he loved Detroit sports and music. He will be terribly missed.

Stanley R. Roosa

Died: Tuesday, October 21, 2014
Age: 84
Stanley R. Roosa, age 84 of Bear Lake and formerly of Clarkston, died Tuesday October 21, 2014 at West Shore Medical Center in Manistee.

He was born February 28, 1930 in Highland Park the son of the late Alva Roosa and Elizabeth (Linenfelser) Wood. He attended Drayton Plains and Waterford Schools and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. On July 23, 1955, Stan married Lois Kuenzer in Pontiac. He was an inspector at GM – Pontiac Motor Division for 28 years; retiring in June 1991. His hobby was carving duck decoys and birds.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Roosa of Bear Lake; sons, Douglas (Nancy) Roosa of Ann Arbor and David Roosa of Sheboygan, WI; 2 grandchildren, Natalie Roosa of Santa Cruz, CA and Paul Roosa of Kalamazoo.

He was preceded by two brothers, Norman and Jack Roosa.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Bear Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. Jane Logston officiating and the Navy Honor Guard conducting military services. The family received friends at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee on Friday, October 24th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

John was a WWII veteran Army Air Corps, tail gunner B-24. He was also a Mason. John retired from GM, Fisher Body in 1985. J. KENNETH “KEN” Evenson

Died: Saturday, October 18, 2014
Age: 71
Ken died unexpectedly in Rochester Hills, Michigan he is survived by his wife, Suzanne Evenson and his children Derek Jeffery, Jeffrey Evenson and Jody Evenson. Ken was born on November 13th, 1942 in Evanston, IL to the late Robert J. and Margaret “Peg” (nee: McGary) Evenson. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1963 with a degree in Business Administration and Communication. He married Suzanne Jeffery in 1988. He was a pioneer producer/director in standardizing employee training for McDonald's, Burger King, Kelly Services and many others. Ken and Sue have lived in Ortonville, Michigan since 1981. Ken enjoyed fishing, entertaining his many friends, doting on his kids and grandkids (Jack, Terra and Sam), and above all else, football. Ken will be remembered for his sharp wit, his sense of humor, his warmth, and his generosity of spirit. A memorial celebration will be scheduled for a future date in the Ortonville area. James A. Hale

James A. Hale, of Oxford, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014.

Beloved husband of Judy for 55 years; loving father of Terri (Ray) French and Shelly (Dariusz) Kepczynski; dear grandfather of Logan and Travis Tanner and Casey and Derek Kepczynski; and brother of George (Carol) Hale.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion with Pastor Michael Alexander officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

Charles Thomas Boberg passed away on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014.

He was the son of Mary Boberg and the late Charles (Ted) Boberg. Boberg is survived by daughter Sharon (Eric) Rossman and Shylo Boberg; sister Margaret Batchelor O’Fallon; and brothers John and James, both of Oxford, and Robert, of Indianapolis, Indiana.

James Edward Ulrich

Age: 62
James Ulrich of Ortonville passed away suddenly at his home. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 10, 1952. On June 23, 1973, he married Theresa Milosic in Warren, Michigan. James was employed with General Motors as an Engineer for 37 years, and had a great love of life, family and friends. He leaves his loving wife of 41 years, Theresa Ulrich of Ortonville to cherish his memory. Also surviving him is his sister: Barbara (Paul) Guzdek of Sterling Heights; sister in-laws: Virginia (Glen) Weidner of Wales; Stephanie (Ivan) Kokotovich of Goodells; brother in-laws: Michael (Sandra) Milosic of North Port, Florida; Joseph (Elaine) Milosic of Clarkston as well as many nieces & nephews. David Armstrong of Clarkston was born March 17, 1954 in Flint, Michigan to the late Ray “Burt” and Beatrice (nee: Beckman) Armstrong. He is survived by 3 daughters, Shannon (Chuck) Switzenberg, Tara (Fernando) Munoz and Amy Armstrong; 4 grandchildren, Cody, Ryan, Alex and Lily; 1 brother, Dennis Armstrong. David retired from Consumers Energy after 38 years. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at COATS VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME-ORTONVILLE. Pastor Kevin Shorkey will officiate.
